How to Meditate: The Complete Beginner's Guide
In this deep beginners guide, we’ll be looking at the benefits of meditation, the various techniques and approaches to meditation, sharing advice on how to build a regular meditation practice, answering questions that beginners often have—and more!
I'm a Manifestation Coach and show others how to manifest their dream life. But if you are not living from the heart space, manifestation get's way harder. Especially in our busy modern life (that has been created this way by design to take us away from our divine power - more on this another day). The best way to get back to living from the heart space and living a high vibrational life is through meditation. Everything material that we have in the physical life is the result of our subconscious thoughts and beliefs. Meditation is the number one way to recode those beliefs and get a handle on our mind thoughts, which quite frankly are running peoples lives (and for many that I speak to, this is not in a good way). Meditation is the number one thing we should all be doing, incorporating it into our daily lives for mental health, happiness and fulfilled life. Then of course the crazy magical stuff (or not so cazy) of manifesting, wealth creation, abundance in every single area of life and so on. But are we? I can't tell you how often I fall off the meditation wagon too. From being too busy, too distracted, my mind wants to take over running the show... CONSTANTLY. Only in February this year did I visit a Shaman Healer in Bali and one of the first things ha said to me when he held my hands and sensed my energy was 'you need more meditation' (I knew this of course, I always need more meditation), but I was doing very well at this time mentally so to speak. As we finished up after an amazing sunrise yoga session of the rice terrace in Ubud, his parting message to me as he squeezed my hands was 'if there is one thing that you do for yourself please meditate more.' with that he was gone. And I of course, knew what I needed to do.
I'll be spending the next few months working on the meditation section of this blog, because I think I can help people in this area of life. It's something that so many people struggle with but it doesn't need to be. So let me know what you NEED. I took his advice and implemented it. From there my life flow became immeasurably better. Things flowed and happened. I moved to Bali. The 'stuckness' that I was feeling, the difficulty I'd been having in manifesting (which is not good when this is WHAT YOU DO) all clicked back into place again. This is no surprise for me, it's always this way, but I'm always surprised at my ability to stop doing my daily meditation. It's madness to me. And that's the madness of the mind, the pull of the matrix that somehow pulls me back to laziness. For it knows how powerful we are when we come back to our inner source. So it does everything it can to take you off course. So please, with our good friend, the Shaman's knowledge, if there is one thing that you do for yourself in 2024 and beyond is - Meditate more! Not in how long, but frequency... how often should you meditate?
Prioritise your meditation practice as the first thing in self care, self love, project you!
Also, I've started a new YouTube channel - which is going to cover all of these kinds of things (it doesn't right now but I absolutely intend to start sharing more about my personal journey with working with the Quantum Field, raising our vibration, changing our frequency, manifesting and all matters of self love, healing trauma and 3d to 5d awakening and transcending. As this has been the journey I've been on these last 4 years. It has changed mine and my family's whole life. It's been Too personal - up until now- to write about or do videos about - but I'm ready to open up now. In the aim that I help others in their own healing and growth journey. This is my life's purpose now. So please if you can, give my channel a subscribe so I know people want more of this stuff. If I don't grow then I know people don't really want it and I can concentrate on other things that will help.

Getting Started with Meditation
1. Find a Quiet Space
Choose a quiet and comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed. This could be a dedicated meditation corner, a cozy chair, or even a peaceful spot in your garden.
2. Set a Time Limit
As a beginner, start with short sessions. Aim for 5-10 minutes. As you become more comfortable, you can gradually increase the duration to 20-30 minutes or more.
3. Choose a Comfortable Position
You can sit cross-legged on the floor, in a chair with your feet flat on the ground, or even lie down if that’s more comfortable. The key is to keep your back straight and your body relaxed.
4. Close Your Eyes and Breathe
Gently close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Inhale through your nose, letting your belly rise, and exhale through your mouth, allowing your belly to fall. Focus on your breath as it flows in and out.
5. Focus Your Attention
As you settle into your breath, you may notice thoughts starting to arise. This is completely normal. Acknowledge the thoughts without judgment and gently guide your focus back to your breath. You can also choose a mantra, a word, or a phrase to repeat silently, helping you maintain your focus.
6. Be Kind to Yourself
Meditation is a practice, and it’s important to be patient with yourself. If your mind wanders, that’s okay! Simply bring your focus back to your breath or your mantra. The more you practice, the easier it will become.
7. Ending Your Session
When your timer goes off, take a moment to notice how you feel. Gently bring your awareness back to your surroundings. Open your eyes slowly and take a few deep breaths before standing up.

Conclusion
Meditation is a journey, not a destination. Start with small, manageable steps, and over time, you’ll likely find that your practice deepens. Embrace the process and allow yourself to grow and change along the way. With regular practice, meditation can become a valuable tool for enhancing your life and cultivating a sense of peace and gratitude. Happy meditating!
