And please subscribe because every sub really matters! In a nutshell our story: We ditched the rat race in June 2024 in the UK and bought one way tickets to Bali (where we are building a house) and whilst that is finished we slow travel the world full time with our kids. We spend a decent amount of time in each destination to find the best things that it has to offer and on an budget. Because we have kids and earn an average income online so must budget. 📍 Where Is Krabi?

Krabi is a picturesque province located on Thailand's southern Andaman coast (the West side of Thailand). It's known for its stunning natural beauty, dramatic limestone cliffs, lush jungles, and stunning beaches. Because of it's beauty, it has some quite developed parts aimed at tourists. Popular destinations within Krabi include Ao Nang, Railay Beach, Koh Lanta, The Hong Islands and the Phi Phi Islands.

🛂 Entry Requirements: Visa for Krabi

  • Visa-free entry: Many nationalities can enter Thailand for up to 30 days without a visa. So the average holiday is covered automatically if you are from one of those countries and the good news is you don't have to do anything regarding visas. Just turn up at the airport and get your entry stamp in your passport and make sure you leave before the date. From July 2024 travelers from 93 countries can enter and remain in Thailand for up to 60 days visa-free (for up to 60 days). Check the Thai Embassy for full details of this here because rules are changing all the time. This includes UK so if you are from UK, Australia, USA and Europe you can stay for 60 days without having to pay for a visa or extend it. Again you just get your entry stamp in your passport at the airport and make sure you leave the country before the 60 days are up. BUT there are rumours that this 60 days will be reduced back to 30 days. With no official date given at the time of writing this blog. But if this ruling does go ahead, you can take the 30 days and apply for the extension at the embassy for the extra 30 days.

  • Visa on arrival: Available for selected countries for stays up to 15 days.

  • Tourist Visa: If staying longer than 30 days, you may apply for a 60-day tourist visa or extend your visa once in Thailand.

  • Other long stay visas. There are many digital worker and longer term visas available which we'll share here when we apply for or utilise any of these visa types.

  • Always check with your local Thai embassy or immigration website for the latest requirements.
