I shouldn’t even be here.

By “here,” I mean Brighton, England – in a little seaside town that I had no plans to visit, let alone linger in. I’m meant to be in Bali, the island that feels like home, the place where my family and I are building our house and our future. But life – or, perhaps, Spirit – had other plans.

The past year has been a blur of movement, uncertainty, and surrender. We sold everything we owned and stepped fully into the unknown, becoming what most would call homeless. Not in the tragic sense, but in the sense of living without a fixed address, without the anchor of possessions, without the security of the familiar. We followed nudges, signs, and whispers of intuition that led us from Bali to Thailand, then to Barcelona, and finally here to the UK. All the while, I kept telling myself: We need to get back to Bali.

But deep down, I knew something greater was at play. We were being stripped of everything that tied us to our old ways – the comfort, the clutter, the illusions of control – so we could fast-track our healing and awakening.

And it worked. The fear, the discomfort, the constant surrender broke something open in me. I began to see how much I had been clinging, how much I had been trying to orchestrate life instead of trusting it. Bali healed me, yes – but it was the in-between, the “homelessness,” that cracked me wide open.

And that is how I found myself wandering through a secondhand bookshop in Brighton, dust clinging to the air, when a smelly, old, hardback book practically jumped off the shelf into my hands: The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ.

I wasn’t looking for it. In fact, I was hoping to find a copy of Joe Dispenza’s Becoming Supernatural. But the Aquarian Gospel found me. And as I opened its pages, I felt the same stirring I felt when I first read A Course in Miracles: this isn’t just a book – this is a transmission.

It speaks of Jesus not only as the historical figure we know from the Bible but as the embodiment of Love itself – and of the Word, the sacred creative power that we all carry within. It’s rich with esoteric teachings that expand on the Gospels, yet it feels startlingly modern in its call to awaken.

I want to share with you the 8 most powerful teachings I’ve uncovered so far – teachings that feel like they were meant for this exact moment in my life (and perhaps yours too):

1. The Word is the Creative Power Within You

"The Word is God’s thought made manifest. It is life, light, and love, and it dwells in every heart."

This book repeatedly references The Word – not as a single word, but as the eternal, creative vibration of God. It’s the same “Logos” that John wrote about in the Bible: “In the beginning was the Word… and the Word was God.”

When Jesus tells his apostles they “know the Word,” he isn’t handing them a secret password. He’s awakening them to the truth that they are living expressions of the Divine Word. When we speak, act, and be from that awareness – miracles happen.

2. The Kingdom of God is Within

"The kingdom is not in the sky; it is not beyond the sea; it is within the heart."

I can’t tell you how much this lands after a year of living with no fixed place. We think “home” is something external – a house, a location, a dream life in Bali – but the Aquarian Gospel (and ACIM) remind us that the true home we seek is already inside us.

This inner kingdom doesn’t depend on a postcode or possessions. It’s a state of consciousness that can only be cultivated by going within.

3. Love is the Fulfilment of the Law

"Love is the fulfilling of the law; we can do no wrong when we are ruled by love."

This one is simple but profound: when we are led by love, we can’t be out of alignment. Fear drops away. Control drops away. Our lives begin to flow in ways we could never have planned.

This is what this year has taught me. Every time I acted from fear, I clung tighter, trying to force life into a shape it wasn’t ready to take. But when I softened into love, even in the uncertainty, I could feel I was on the right path – even when I didn’t understand it.

4. Healing Flows When We Surrender

Jesus tells his apostles: “Go forth and heal the sick in body, mind, and soul. When you speak the Word in faith, the currents of the Holy Breath will flow.”

Healing isn’t about personal power. It’s not about getting the right technique or saying the right thing. It’s about becoming a clear channel for the Holy Breath (Spirit) to flow through us.

This is the same teaching as ACIM: “I need do nothing.” We are not the source of healing; we are the conduits.

5. We Are Sons and Daughters of God – Not Separate

"All men are sons of God by birth; Jesus was the first to realize this truth in fullness, but we are all heirs of the same kingdom."

This teaching dismantles the idea that Jesus was “special” and we are not. His power came from his complete remembrance of his oneness with God – and he taught that we could do the same.

"These things I do, you shall do also."

6. Service is the Highest Form of Worship

"Service done in love is worship unto God. He who serves the least of all serves God himself."

It’s so easy to get lost in rituals or spiritual “to-do lists,” but this book reminds us that true worship is found in how we show up for each other. Every act of kindness, every extension of love, is an offering to the Divine.

7. Death Has No Power Over Spirit

"There is no death. The soul is boundless, free, and eternal. The body is but a garment to be laid aside."

This isn’t just comforting – it’s liberating. It calls us to live with less fear and more purpose, knowing that we are eternal.

8. The Holy Breath is Our Guide

"The Holy Breath is God’s spirit moving in all life; it will teach you all truth when you are still enough to hear it."

This is a call to stillness. To trust that there is a loving, guiding force that will speak to us – if we’re willing to slow down enough to listen.

Manifesting With the Word: A Mini-Guide

Jesus taught that those who “know the Word” will heal, create, and call miracles into being. But what does that actually mean for us, here and now?

The Word is the vibration of Divine Love – the creative thought of God. When we align with it, we move out of fear and into the frequency where all abundance already exists.

Here’s how you can begin:

Step 1: Center in the Word (Divine Love)

• Find stillness. Breathe deeply and softly chant or inwardly repeat OM.

• Imagine a golden light filling your body. Know that this is the vibration of God’s love and creative power.

Step 2: Call in the Holy Breath (Spirit)

• Ask silently: “Holy Breath, align me with my highest good. Show me how to receive what is already mine.”

• Trust that the Holy Breath (the Spirit of God) is flowing through you, rearranging circumstances for your highest outcome.

Step 3: Speak the Word of Creation

• Declare what you desire as if it is already true.

• Example: “I am so grateful that I now live in a safe, beautiful home for my family. Thank you, God, for this manifestation.”

• Feel it fully – as though it’s already done.

Step 4: Act as if

• Ask: “What would I do today if this were already my reality?” Then do those things.

• When fear or doubt arises, return to the Word: OM, I AM, Love.

Step 5: Release and Trust

• Your job is not to control the “how.”

• Your job is to hold the vibration of love, gratitude, and certainty – and let God orchestrate the rest.

5. What would shift if I began living as though my deepest desires were already fulfilled?

Why This Matters Now

As I write this, we’re just a week away from flying back to Bali, where we’ll be based for six months until our house is built. But I know now that the true “homecoming” isn’t about Bali.

This book found me to remind me of something I might have missed if life had gone “to plan”:

• That the kingdom is within. I never needed 8k miles.

• That love is the only law worth following.

• That healing and miracles flow not from striving but from surrendering to the Word – that eternal vibration of God’s love that lives in us.

This year of wandering and listening has been my greatest teacher. Without it, I don’t think I would have cleared as much, healed as fast, or remembered as deeply.

And now, as I carry this dusty old book back 8,000 Miles across the world with me, I feel a deep gratitude for the journey. For the fear, for the discomfort, for the stripping away. Because it led me here – to this exact moment, this exact truth:

We already are what we seek.
