What is Alignment?

Have you ever felt like something in your life was just… off? Like you were doing all the "right" things, but still felt disconnected, tired, or unfulfilled? That’s often a sign you're out of alignment.

In this post, we’ll explore what alignment really means - and how stepping into it can help you heal, manifest your desires, and live with more clarity and purpose. Whether you're craving deeper self-connection or ready to create a life that actually feels like yours, alignment is the key that unlocks it all. One of the questions I get asked a lot is what exactly is alignment? Many people understand the concept of alignment but then struggle to get into alignment. And there can be many reasons for this mainly a 'Block' or many blockages which is why self healing and personal development is so important. Because you start to learn the truth about who you really are. You can sit with the truth of who you really are. Which then allows you to un-peel the layers of your our identity and self. To get to a point of Self-Realization. To start living in this truth. And this place is where alignment is.

Until you see that 'the self' that we think that we are is not actually the true self or the I AM. (I'll do further blogs about the I AM Self Concept and our true self soon so please subscribe and you'll be notified on those once they're up on the blog). For now check out my guided I AM Meditations. Until we sit in this 'I AM' space or the True Self space, life can feel out of alignment. We can't put our finger on it. But something may feel a miss.


For todays blog we'll look into what Alignment is, why being in alignment is important for manifestation, purpose and creation, why alignment is important for healing and self healing (my story with depression may help you see how I'd been living out of alignment for a long time, doing what I thought I should be doing from the 'thinking' mind and being the person I was - when in fact i'd been living from a false identity and thus behaviours that in turn manifested not so great outcomes). Tuning into alignment for me (knowing the I AM at my core, allowed to me strip away depression almost immediately) and that all came from one book which I share my personal story with you here (a special mention goes out to Dr Joe Dispenza for providing the information that I could absorb that revealed this true identity - The I AM - which allowed me to dissolve a life long debilitating battle). I offer a Free I AM meditation on this blog that allows you to be in the space of your true identity. Meditating within it can help clarify this truth for you, until one day (that day can be instant but for me it took many years - I'm a slow leaner!) but one day you sit fully in your truth and start aligning with the this true self to start manifesting the life of your dreams. Or healing or whatever it is that you are wanting to do.


What Is Alignment? (Simple Explanation from my Alignment mini course)

Alignment is when your thoughts, feelings, actions, and values are all moving in the same direction - toward what truly matters to you.


It’s the state of being connected to your true self - your inner wisdom, purpose, and what feels right deep down. When you're in alignment, you're not forcing, overthinking, or pretending. You're just being who you really are, and life flows more easily.

Think of it like this:

Imagine your life is a car.

Your values are the steering wheel.

Your thoughts are the GPS.

Your emotions are the dashboard lights.

Your actions are the wheels.


When everything is pointing in the same direction, the ride is smooth. That’s alignment.


In practical terms, alignment looks like:

Making decisions that feel good in your gut (not just your head)

Speaking your truth without guilt

Setting boundaries that honour your energy

Choosing relationships, work, and routines that support your highest self


When you're out of alignment, you may feel:

Stuck, anxious, or overwhelmed

Burned out or drained

Like you're chasing things that don’t feel fulfilling

Like you're living someone else’s life

Why Alignment Matters for Healing & Manifestation

Healing happens when you're honest with yourself and give your body, heart, and mind what they truly need - not what the world expects.

Manifestation becomes easier because you're clear about your desires and your energy matches your intentions. You’re not sending mixed signals to the universe.


How Alignment Supports Healing

True healing - whether emotional, physical, or spiritual - happens when we stop fighting ourselves and start listening. When you step into alignment, you stop living from fear or old patterns and begin responding to life from a place of truth and wholeness.


In alignment, you:

* Recognize your needs instead of denying them

* Honour your boundaries instead of breaking them

* Make choices that support your energy instead of draining it


Healing isn’t about fixing what's broke - it's about remembering who you are beneath the noise. Alignment brings you back to that place. It lets your nervous system relax. It invites your body to heal. And it allows suppressed emotions to rise, be heard, and move through you.

When you're in alignment, you're not pushing - you're allowing. And that's where real healing happens.


How Alignment Activates Manifestation

Manifestation isn’t just about visualizing what you want—it’s about becoming the version of you who’s already ready to receive it. Alignment is what bridges the gap.

When your thoughts, emotions, and actions are aligned with your desire, you send a clear energetic message to the universe:

“I’m ready. I’m available. I’m in flow.”

In alignment, you're no longer manifesting from lack (“I need this to feel better”), but from fullness (“This matches who I am becoming”). That’s when synchronicities appear. Opportunities flow in. People show up. Life begins to reflect your inner clarity.

Practical ways to manifest in alignment:

* Clarify what you truly desire (not what you “should” want)

* Align your daily habits with that desire

* Regulate your energy: gratitude, joy, rest, pleasure—all amplify manifestation

You don’t chase aligned desires. You attract them.


How Alignment Helps You Live with Purpose

Living with purpose doesn’t mean you have to have it all figured out—it means you’re living from your truth, not someone else’s script.

Alignment helps you:

* Say yes to what lights you up

* Say no to what drains or distracts you

* Follow your curiosity, passions, and inner nudges

When you're aligned, you begin making aligned decisions. You notice when something feels off. You course-correct quicker. And most importantly—you trust yourself.

Purpose isn’t always a big, dramatic mission. Sometimes it’s found in the quiet, daily decision to live in integrity with who you are.

Alignment is your inner compass. When you follow it, purpose unfolds naturally.


How to Know When You’re in Alignment?

Knowing comes through experiencing and feeling. Knowing when you are in alignment may include some or all of these below feeling statements. Some common things:

“This feels right.”

“I feel lighter.”

“Things are flowing.”

“I’m not pretending anymore.”

“I’m acting from love, not fear.”


Stepping Into Alignment

Stepping into alignment means making conscious choices that bring you closer to your true self - not the version shaped by fear, pressure, or past conditioning, but the one that feels grounded, whole, and free. It's not about being perfect. It's about being honest.


Key Steps to help you realign with who you really are:

1. Pause and Get Quiet

Alignment begins with awareness. Create space to listen inward. Whether it's through meditation, journaling, walking in nature, or simply breathing deeply for a few minutes - quiet moments help you hear the whispers of your intuition. I offer so many free meditations for you to take this quiet pause and meditate on it. Ask yourself during quiet time:

What feels off? What feels right? and sit with these. Not asking for an answer. Not searching for an answer. Just asking with intention is enough to open yourself up to getting into alignment. Use my I Am meditations to re-programme the sub-conscious mind to understand your true nature.


2. Check in with Your Emotions

Your emotions are actually messengers. If you’re feeling anxious, frustrated, or drained, it's often a sign you're out of alignment with your truth. Instead of pushing those feelings away, explore them with curiosity - not judgment. Journalling helps here.

What are they trying to tell you about your current path?


3. Reconnect with Your Values

What truly matters to you? Is it freedom, peace, creativity, love, service? When your daily actions align with your core values, life starts to feel more fulfilling - and less forced. You might not be able to answer these q's right away. I was so out of alignment for many years that I didn't know what I wanted (from a true sense). It took meditation and giving myself this quiet pause to sit with emotions and lean in.

Alignment isn’t about doing more - it’s about doing what matters most.


4. Take Inspired Action

Once you’re clear on what feels right, take one small step in that direction. And getting clear might not come instantly. It could be setting a boundary, having an honest conversation, changing a habit, or saying “yes” to something your heart’s been calling for.

When you move in alignment, even small actions create big shifts.


5. Trust the Process

Alignment isn’t a destination - it’s a daily practice. You'll drift sometimes, and that’s okay. The key is to notice, realign, and keep going with compassion for yourself.

You don’t have to force alignment btw - it’s already within you. Stepping into it is about returning to what’s true, again and again, until it becomes your natural way of living.

So take time to know the knowledge, quieten the mind, listen in and allow the I AM to step forward.
