Getting Around
Viet Jet Domestic Flights: For long-distance travel (e.g., HCMC → Da Nang or Hue → Hanoi)
Trains/Buses: Scenic but slower; use for short connections (e.g., Da Nang → Hue). We use 12Go for our bus / trains in Vietnam.
Private Transfers or Taxis: Affordable in cities using the Grab App
Sleeper buses or trains: Good for budget travellers but expect to take 10-14 hours of your time. BUT the sleeper bus can also act as a nights accommodation negating the need to find hotel for that travel night. We took the overnight sleeper train from HCMC to Da Nang check out our vid of that experience here before deciding if the sleeper train is for you. It's an experience for sure. Would we recommend it? Totally, but it might come down to time on a 2 week trip. Family tickets for a private cabin on the overnight sleeper train all Booked at 12Go with best prices.
