Fletchy's Dragon Fruit Delight Smoothie Bowl Recipe - A High Vibrational Breakfast

Be more Bali and let me share my easy, healthy, pretty Dragon Fruit Smoothie bowl that I make EVERY SINGLE morning here in Bali for my whole family's breakfast. Since I realised I have a bit of a thing for the smoothie bowl and need to track my spending and make them myself! See my Short on a Typical month of Bali Breakfasts (this opens YouTube, but you'll see the most amazing yumminess of all the smoothie bowls we ate whilst in Bali for inspiration for how to decorate your smoothie bowl tops). We save £200 a month making our own family breakfasts in Bali.

Dragon fruit is grown in tropical climates.... ummm hello Bali.... and we've been having a daily love affair with this crazy alien fruit since we arrived here. It's vibrantly pink. It's deep intense colour means it's packed with antioxidants, see my blog about The Health Benefits of The Dragon Fruit . All fruits and veggies that are intense in colour are the highest in antioxidants. And as we journey on our quest for high frequency living in Bali, there's a reason why our bodies have been shouting out for the queen of fruits; The Buah Naga (Indonesian for Dragon Fruit - Buah= fruit Naga= dragon).

Little sidey note: You don't have to have access to an abundance of fresh dragon fruits to hand to be able to make my Dragon Fruit Delight Bali Bowl. You can buy the dried powdered stuff in health food stores and amazon to add into your smoothie bowl mixture for the same health benefits (and pink colour.... cos that's really why we're eating it amiriiiiite!). This is how we did it back in the UK, when we returned between our trail Bali run and our actual move. We were getting withdrawals from our pretty pink breakfasts and ordered the powder in. Put it in a Coconut bowl and close your eyes. You're practically in Bali. It's bright pink so you can fully change the colour of your basic banana bowl or use it to sprinkle on the top for decoration. I'll put a link on of my favourite Dragon Fruit Powders (as they do vary in quality - and price) Let me know in comments if you want that link.

As we're using fresh dragon fruits, we try to buy fresh each day at the local market in Bali - come with me to squeeze some fruit.

You can pretty much get a freshly done for you smoothie bowl from anywhere in Bali, at any time of the day. And sometimes we do, when we can't be bothered making them ourself, or it's the weekend or just because. Get on your Grab or Gojek app at 7am in the morning or 7pm at night to choose from many restaurants delivering smoothie bowls in your area for between 50-90K IDR (£2.50-£4.50). But if you want to make your own smoothie bowls, exactly how you like them, like we do. Follow this easy recipe that I literally use every day to make delicious cheap smoothie bowls to feed your family like a Queen. And save money on your Bali Food Budget whilst you're at it.

As you can see I have quite a bit of skin in the smoothie bowl game - check out my smoothie bowl store cupboard stock. This vary's but at the moment there's granola, coconut shards, pumpkin seeds, cashew butter and bee pollen cos I'm fancy like that. Once you have your store cupboard essential in. You're only expense is the daily fruit shop, to create a high vibe breakfast for all the family.
