Energy, Vibration, and the Jungian Archetypes: A Path to Ascension and Healing

As I sit and reflect on the year gone by, I realise how far I've come in my own awakening and healing journey in Bali. As you know we took a huge leap of faith to uproot our family and our whole lives in the UK to move to Bali after being 'called' to go. With no idea why or what for. Or even at the time - who exactly was calling us to go. Was it God? ET's? Spirit Guides? Or a history with mental health? The call became so strong that we couldn't not make the move in the end.

So, what started as that first tentative discussion where I first broached the crazy idea of moving to Bali to Si. Who immediately supported my crazy idea and became the masculine power behind the whole move backing me into creating our reality. I found myself dedicating much of my time in 2024 in Bali and on our South East Asia travels - living a dream - and connecting to source, receiving some downloads of information that I share on this blog. And not just myself, Si now is also receiving his own downloads - his are auditory, Hebrew type words / light language during meditations and mine are mostly visual. Where I see codes from the sun, orbs, auras and actual objects / light shows from crafts. That disappear or reduce if I don't hold my frequency. I think this is my lesson to quiet my monkey mind and stop bloody thinking - and zoom in on the feelings from the heart. When I do this in real time, and amplify those feelings, whilst seeing my 'things' they come back and dance around as though in performance re-enforcing that it is what they want or in some cases need. This is all still quite new to me (well 2/3 years in) and all intuitively right, safe and given in love. But at the anniversary of our 1 year of continuous full time travel (I can't believe it's been a year already) - I realise just how little I know. And how few answers I still have. And why in 2025/2026 the awakening journey must continue for us all - in Bali.

I feel as though I haven't been able to 'help' people in the way I thought I would. After years of self healing, followed by a spiritual awakening, I woke up one day with this profound feeling of wanting to help. All I want to do is give. And help. And just pour what I have onto others, and this was when Bali came about.

I also knew I wasn't where I was meant to be. But so far I feel like I haven't been ready to 'help' - I've been told this also by energetic visitors in the astral plane. Who are guiding me. I realise now that one way I can help is through this blog, by simply sharing my ever evolving spiritual journey as it happens. Sharing what I learn as I go. Because I am still very early on in my own spiritual awakening and I really know how lonely it is in the beginning. Followed by many steps that feel as though you are moving backwards. After profound realisations, dark nights of the soul, kundalini activations, crazy goings on (but not so when you understand energy, frequency + and vibration) and then more healing. It really is a journey and every journey is different, but if I share my own, then I maybe can offer help. And at the moment, also, I'm realising that it's all about remembering things. Remembering who we are. Then living this new way to raise our vibration and keep it high. Then sharing this vibration day to day with the Earth (Pachamama Bali) as she is with me as I am barefoot most days. Sharing the frequency with people day to day in words on this blog or compassion in actions. Remembering and living our interconnectedness. Instead of my desire to shut myself off from people and go all hermit mode when I'm undergoing something. And instead sharing how it's going / how I'm raising this vibration. I know there's a whole load of other people that are experiencing similar right now - comment if this is you too or you relate a little or a lot to what I'm writing.

I think this is where I can 'help'. Help people who know what they need to do. And that is raise their own vibration to ascend their own consciousness to help their own soul but also the collective consciousness that will make a better world. Once this has happened I think only then can the real work begin and will we be 'ready' for what's happening. But the ground work is essential and very real physical help.

Today I was guided into writing about 'The Self'. Or at least our concept of ourself. What we think of when we think of 'ourself'. Because we are not what or who we think we are. Our self identity is based on a blank slate of what we have learned. A series of other peoples programmes that we took on that we perceive our current reality from.

And this knowledge led me to dig deep into my early studies on Jungian Psychology that I've carried with me from my Psychology Degree back in the early 00's. I chucked 'EVERYTHING' out from the house we were selling in the UK. I can't take it all with me.

Having known all of this information all along but known from my old identity and now seeing it through the perspective of my new self concept gives it a whole other meaning and one to be shared here.

In the world of spirituality and personal growth, the concept of energy and vibration takes centre stage as it has done in my own learning. We are taught that everything - every thought, every emotion, every physical object - has its own unique frequency, vibrating at different levels of intensity. This idea is deeply rooted in both modern quantum science and ancient wisdom, suggesting that we are all interconnected through an invisible web of energy.

But beyond the tangible world of vibration, there lies a more subtle, psychological layer that shapes our individual realities: the psyche. According to Carl Jung, the great Swiss psychiatrist, our psyche is not just the mind but a complex, multi-layered system that governs our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. One of the most fascinating aspects of Jung’s work is his theory of archetypes - universal, primal symbols and themes that are embedded in the human unconscious. By understanding and integrating these archetypes, we can elevate our consciousness, heal trauma, and ultimately ascend toward greater self-realisation.

In this post, we will explore how energy, vibration, and the concept of Jungian archetypes intersect and how we can use these archetypes to transcend limitations, heal past wounds, and elevate our vibration for spiritual growth. It's good timing for me as I'm having a big ego death at the moment. And honestly I thought I was passed all this by now, but it turns out even after years of shadow work, healing, awakening, the ego still persists.

Carl Jung’s Concept of the Psyche

Carl Jung’s model of the psyche is multifaceted, consisting of three primary components:

  1. The Conscious Mind: This is the aspect of the psyche we are most familiar with, where we process thoughts, decisions, and daily activities. It's the "ego," the part of us that experiences the world through the lens of our identity.

  2. The Personal Unconscious: This layer of the psyche contains memories, experiences, and emotions that have been repressed or forgotten. These elements can influence our behaviours and beliefs in subtle but powerful ways, often manifesting as unconscious patterns or triggers.

  3. The Collective Unconscious: This is the most profound and expansive level of the psyche, according to Jung. It holds the universal, shared reservoir of archetypal symbols, myths, and themes that have been passed down through generations. The collective unconscious transcends personal experience, linking all humans through universal patterns of thought and emotion. According to Jung, the constellations are also a result of the collective unconscious. And so you will see that crossover between the zodiac and tarot in relation to these 12 archetypes of the Collective Unconscious.

The archetypes reside in the collective unconscious. These archetypes are not learned but rather inherent in the human condition, guiding our development and shaping our perceptions of the world. They represent the basic elements of human experience, from the heroic journey to the shadow of the unconscious.

His 12 Jungian Archetypes are broken into:

  • Ego Types: The Innocent, The Everyman, The Hero, The Caregiver.

  • Soul Types: The Explorer, The Rebel, The Lover, The Creator/Artist.

  • The Self Types: The Jester, The Sage, The Magician, The Ruler.

The 12 Main Archetypes

Jung identified several archetypes, but over time, scholars and spiritual practitioners have distilled these into 12 core archetypes that represent fundamental aspects of the human experience. Each of these archetypes is associated with a particular set of qualities, strengths, and challenges. Here is a breakdown of the 12 main archetypes and what they signify:

  1. The Innocent: The Innocent seeks happiness, purity, and simplicity. They believe in the goodness of the world and often seek safety and peace. This archetype represents optimism, idealism, and the desire for a life free from fear and suffering.

  2. The Orphan/Regular Guy or Gal: The Orphan feels abandoned, isolated, and seeks belonging. This archetype represents common humanity, the desire for connection, and the quest for survival. It also embodies resilience and the power to overcome adversity.

  3. The Hero: The Hero is on a quest for greatness and transformation. They are driven, courageous, and focused on personal achievement and success. This archetype represents the journey of overcoming obstacles, confronting fears, and reaching one's full potential.

  4. The Caregiver: The Caregiver is compassionate, nurturing, and protective. They seek to help others and offer unconditional love. This archetype represents empathy, selflessness, and the desire to heal and support those in need.

  5. The Explorer: The Explorer seeks freedom, adventure, and new experiences. They are driven by curiosity and the need to discover what lies beyond the horizon. This archetype represents independence, the thirst for knowledge, and the quest for meaning.

  6. The Rebel: The Rebel challenges the status quo, seeking to break free from societal norms and conventions. They are driven by a desire for change, revolution, and transformation. This archetype represents rebellion, innovation, and the courage to defy expectations.

  7. The Lover: The Lover is motivated by passion, beauty, and connection. They seek deep relationships and are driven by a longing for intimacy and emotional fulfilment. This archetype represents sensuality, affection, and the pursuit of meaningful bonds with others.

  8. The Creator: The Creator is driven by the need to bring something new into the world. They are imaginative, artistic, and often innovative. This archetype represents the power of creation, expression, and bringing ideas to life.

  9. The Jester: The Jester seeks joy, play, and humour. They challenge conventions through wit and laughter, often using humour to disarm tension or to offer a fresh perspective on life. This archetype represents lightness, spontaneity, and the ability to find joy even in difficult circumstances.

  10. The Sage: The Sage is driven by the quest for wisdom and understanding. They seek truth and knowledge, and they possess a deep sense of insight. This archetype represents intellectual clarity, reflection, and the desire to understand the deeper mysteries of life.

  11. The Magician: The Magician is the visionary, the alchemist, the transformer. They seek to harness the power of the unseen forces of the universe to create change and bring about transformation. This archetype represents mastery, intuition, and the ability to manifest and heal.

  12. The Ruler: The Ruler seeks control, order, and stability. They are driven by the desire to lead, organise, and manage. This archetype represents leadership, authority, and the capacity to create a structured, harmonious environment.

Using the Archetypes for Ascension and Healing

Each of the 12 archetypes represents an aspect of our energy and vibration. Understanding and embodying these archetypes can help us raise our frequency, heal trauma, and ascend in consciousness.

  • Healing Trauma: Many of us carry wounds from past experiences - whether they are emotional, relational, or psychological. By recognising which archetypes are most activated by our wounds, we can begin to heal them. For example, if we identify with the Orphan, we may need to heal feelings of abandonment or isolation. Engaging with the Caregiver archetype can help us nurture and love ourselves, overcoming the wounds that came from neglect or rejection.

  • Balancing the Archetypes: Sometimes, we may feel too dominant in one archetype, leading to imbalance. For instance, if we overly identify with the Hero, we might become obsessed with achievement, neglecting the need for rest and self-care. On the other hand, over-identifying with the Jester could lead to escapism and avoidance of deeper emotions. By integrating and balancing all 12 archetypes, we can develop a more harmonious and authentic self.

  • Ascension and Consciousness Expansion: The archetypes act as guides on our spiritual journey. As we grow in consciousness, we can embody the archetypes with greater awareness. The Magician archetype, for example, can help us tap into our inner power to manifest and transform our lives, while the Sage can lead us toward deeper understanding and wisdom. Working with these archetypes can help us align with higher frequencies and evolve beyond our limiting beliefs.

Practical Ways to Work with Archetypes

  1. Meditation and Visualisation: Begin by meditating on the different archetypes. Visualise yourself embodying each one and ask what lessons they bring to your life. Allow yourself to feel their energy and how it resonates with your current situation.

  2. Journaling: Reflect on which archetypes are most active in your life. Which ones do you resonate with, and which ones feel underdeveloped? Journaling can help you process and integrate the wisdom of each archetype.

  3. Shadow Work: Jung’s concept of the Shadow represents the unconscious aspects of the psyche that we reject or suppress. Working with the Shadow involves recognising the aspects of the archetypes that we have denied or disowned. By embracing the full spectrum of the archetypes, including their darker aspects, we can heal and transform.

  4. Energy Healing: Certain archetypes may correspond to different chakras or energy centres in the body. For example, the Lover archetype might correspond to the heart chakra, while the Ruler archetype could align with the solar plexus. Use energy healing practices such as Reiki, sound therapy, or breath work to activate and balance these energies.

The 12 Jungian archetypes offer a profound tool for personal growth, self-awareness, and spiritual ascension. By understanding these archetypes as both symbolic representations of universal human experiences and energetic frequencies, we can tap into their wisdom to heal trauma, transform limiting beliefs, and elevate our consciousness. The journey of integrating the archetypes is a lifelong process - one that leads us closer to our authentic selves and our highest potential.

As we raise our vibration and work with the energy of the archetypes, we move closer to becoming conscious creators of our lives, aligned with the deeper truths of the universe. The archetypes are not merely psychological patterns - they are powerful energies waiting to be awakened within us, guiding us toward healing and ascension.

Why Knowing Your Jungian Archetype Can Help You Heal and Ascend

In the quest for self-understanding, personal growth, and spiritual ascension, many of us search for tools and frameworks that help us better navigate the complexities of our inner world. One such powerful tool is the concept of Jungian archetypes as detailed above.

Understanding your dominant Jungian archetype can be a transformative experience, one that opens the door to deep healing and higher consciousness. By recognising and embracing the archetype(s) that resonate most strongly with you, you unlock a pathway to self-awareness, growth, and alignment with your true essence. Knowing your archetype can accelerate your healing process, and lead to spiritual ascension.

Each of these archetypes carries with it a unique set of strengths, weaknesses, desires, and fears that shape how we relate to the world and ourselves.

1. Knowing Your Archetype Helps You Understand Your Energy and Vibration

At its core, each archetype represents a specific frequency or energy pattern. Just as everything in the universe vibrates at a certain frequency, so do the psychological and spiritual aspects of our being. By identifying which archetype most closely resonates with you, you begin to understand the energy that is at the core of your personality and life experiences.

For example, if you identify strongly with the Hero archetype, you may feel driven by the need to overcome obstacles and prove your worth. The Explorer, on the other hand, is driven by the desire for freedom and adventure. When you understand the underlying archetypal energy that governs your thoughts and actions, you can consciously align with it, adjusting your vibration to resonate with higher frequencies. This awareness allows you to step into your full potential.

By working with your dominant archetype, you elevate your vibration to a higher frequency, which is a key component of spiritual ascension. When your energy is aligned with your true essence, you're able to transcend limiting beliefs, past trauma, and the influence of unconscious patterns that may have been holding you back.

2. Archetypes Help You Heal Unresolved Trauma

Healing trauma often requires us to confront unconscious patterns—patterns that are deeply ingrained in our psyche. Archetypes act as mirrors, reflecting back to us the aspects of ourselves that we may not be fully aware of or have repressed. When we identify our dominant archetype, we gain insight into the core wounds or unresolved issues we may carry.

For example, the Orphan archetype often signifies feelings of abandonment, neglect, or loneliness. If you resonate with the Orphan, you might find that past experiences of rejection are still influencing your present relationships. On the other hand, the Shadow archetype represents the unconscious aspects of ourselves that we repress or deny—those qualities we don’t want to acknowledge. Shadow work, in particular, can help you heal trauma by bringing these hidden aspects into the light and integrating them into your conscious self.

By recognising which archetypes hold the key to your unresolved trauma, you begin to heal at a deeper level. This process often involves shadow work—the integration of unconscious material that, once acknowledged, can free you from old wounds and allow you to step into a more authentic and empowered version of yourself.

3. Archetypes Show You Your Life's Purpose and Path

One of the most profound ways archetypes help you ascend is by guiding you toward your true life's purpose. Each archetype holds within it a unique path of development, and understanding which archetype you embody can reveal what you're meant to focus on in this lifetime.

For example, if the Caregiver archetype is prominent in your life, your purpose may revolve around nurturing others, healing, and creating safe spaces. Similarly, the Magician archetype is all about transformation, creativity, and harnessing inner power to heal, manifest, and create change in the world.

By understanding your archetype, you get clarity on the strengths and gifts you have to offer the world, as well as the challenges and growth opportunities ahead. With this awareness, you are able to make more conscious decisions that align with your higher self and life purpose. This alignment is crucial for spiritual ascension, as it allows you to transcend external influences and step into your authentic power.

4. Archetypes Reveal Your Inner Strengths and Weaknesses

Each archetype comes with its own set of strengths and weaknesses, and understanding both is essential for personal growth. Recognising the strengths of your archetype helps you tap into its power and live in alignment with your true self. Conversely, understanding your archetype's weaknesses allows you to work through the challenges that may arise from unconscious identification with that archetype.

For example, if you're strongly connected to the Rebel archetype, you may have a deep desire to challenge authority and break free from societal norms. While this can be a source of great innovation and personal freedom, it can also lead to feelings of alienation or resistance. Understanding the shadow side of the Rebel archetype helps you avoid extreme behaviour and channel your rebellious energy toward positive transformation.

Similarly, the Innocent archetype might represent a person who is idealistic, pure-hearted, and driven by a desire for safety and happiness. While these traits can lead to deep joy and optimism, they may also result in vulnerability to manipulation or a tendency to avoid difficult truths. Recognising these weaknesses allows the Innocent to grow stronger by developing discernment and resilience.

By understanding both the strengths and weaknesses of your archetype, you can develop greater self-awareness and emotional intelligence, both of which are essential for healing and spiritual ascension.

5. Archetypes Facilitate Integration and Wholeness

The process of spiritual ascension is all about integration—the harmonising of the many aspects of ourselves into a unified whole. Archetypes are incredibly useful in this process because they represent different facets of our personality and psyche. Working with archetypes helps us embrace the full spectrum of who we are, including both the light and shadow aspects of our being.

For instance, the Hero archetype might push you to achieve greatness and personal transformation, but it is only through integrating the Shadow archetype—the darker, unconscious aspects of yourself—that true wholeness is achieved. Without the Shadow, the Hero could become overly focused on achievement, neglecting emotional needs or inner healing.

By recognising and integrating the various archetypes within you, you become more whole and balanced, allowing for a more authentic and elevated state of being. This integration process is key to healing trauma and achieving spiritual ascension.

6. Archetypes Help You Navigate Your Relationships

Finally, knowing your archetype can significantly improve your relationships. Our archetypes often play out in the way we relate to others, and understanding the archetypal patterns that govern our interactions can help us form healthier, more conscious connections.

For example, if you resonate with the Lover archetype, you may prioritise emotional connection, sensuality, and intimacy in relationships. Understanding this can help you communicate more effectively with others who may not share the same needs or desires. On the other hand, if you identify with the Ruler, you may be more focused on leadership and control, and understanding this dynamic can help you avoid power struggles in relationships.

By recognising the archetypal patterns that influence your relationships, you can cultivate greater empathy, communication, and understanding, ultimately leading to deeper, more fulfilling connections.

Conclusion: The Path to Healing and Ascension Through Archetypes

Knowing your Jungian archetype is more than just a tool for self-understanding—it's a gateway to healing, growth, and spiritual ascension. By embracing your archetype, you gain insight into your inner world, allowing you to work through trauma, integrate shadow aspects, and align with your higher purpose. Archetypes serve as both mirrors and guides, illuminating the path toward wholeness and higher consciousness.

As you step into the fullness of your archetype, you raise your vibration, heal past wounds, and unlock your true potential. The journey to self-discovery through archetypes is an ongoing process, but it is one that leads to greater inner peace, authenticity, and spiritual enlightenment.

So, what is your dominant archetype? And how can you use its energy to heal, grow, and ascend? The answers lie within you, waiting to be uncovered.

And now as I continue my de-cluttering process (I'm emptying the UK house as we leave the UK for Bali) I can throw all of my old Uni notes out knowing that they have now been seen through the lens that they were always meant to be seen through.
