The Best Guide Books for a Trip to Bangkok

Heads Up: If you click through + buy a travel guide through any our links, we receive a small commission from Amazon. This is at no cost to you and helps us to maintain this website's running costs. Thank you + happy reading!

We have everything at our fingertips with smartphones + we do most of our travel planning and travel booking on our phones. BUT there's something about sitting with a good book and a coffee. Preferably with no kids fighting in the background, but one can wish.

These are my pick of the best guide books for your Bangkok city break. You can't really go wrong with the Lonely Planet Guide and we like that it has a pull out map. That will come in handy when you're hot & humid trying to work out where you are with 2 kids in tow (probably moaning that they're hungry!)

Wallpaper City Guide Bangkok: The most stylish of guide books. OK I'm going to admit that we don't use these to plan our trip. The places in here are too fancy for our travels with kids, but nice to look at. These guides just look so nice on the coffee table. And I collect them. Call me fickle! Plus we're partial to a rainbow bookshelf! (I've made it worse haven't I?!)
